Do you want to know how to get Paid to review products on Amazon without having a large following and without buying products yourself? Then listen up because I have been doing this since late September and it is proving to be the most lucrative side hustle that I have tried thus. I took a course to learn this called “That On-site Commission Course”.
I am an Amazon Influencer and I didn’t have a large following when I got accepted. I’d just started my TikTok and only had 12 videos and 37 followers of a new account that was 7 days old when I got the notification that I was eligible to be an Influencer on Amazon.
It took another 7 days to get my on-site commissions unlocked all thanks to a course I took from a SAHM (stay-at-home mom) who was doing this and earning consistently since May of 2023 and was sharing her knowledge for free until she decided to make a course to put all the important deets in one place for someone that wanted to get right to the point and the course was only $33 when I purchased.
Since then she has created more details in the course and a slack community that is top-notch with people that you swear are your best friends. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, unlike a lot of Facebook groups that have anyone and everyone in them and people with varying opinions. This is a group of people doing the same thing and sharing their experiences to help the next person. No Gatekeeping in this community! So with all that she raised the course to $45, still cheaper than most, but we were sharing her course as friends and followers that appreciated her honesty and loyalty. So as a thank you she allows anyone who buys her course and gets approved to Amazon and unlocked for commissions to earn from her sales. She raised the price to allow for her students to get paid for something we would do anyway. Such a nice gesture!
I had been searching for side hustles that work for about 9 months. I started with Amazon but it was book creating and then affiliate marketing. It wasn’t until I came across a TikTok account of Jules that I felt compelled to give Amazon a shot again. So far nothing Amazon-related has panned out. I stalked her social media account to see what she was saying about the Amazon program that she said was paying her about $40-$80/day consistently since about May of 2023. This was in September when I found her TikTok account.
Listening to her content convinced me to give it a shot, but with no real following I was skeptical. A few days into finding her account, I saw a TikTok post from a girl named Shelby. She had bought a course that Jules had created and had a following but was unsuccessful in getting into the Amazon Influencer Program. It had been 6 weeks with no luck. Jules recommended starting a new account to see if the engagement metric that Amazon was looking for would be reached this way, after she posted her 12th video and had somewhere around 100 followers she was accepted into the Influencer Program and she unlocked on-site commissions with her first try of submitting videos.
The Amazon Influencer Program, is a program Amazon uses to allow influencers (average people who qualify based on the metric of engagement using a social media account) to earn commissions from product review videos that Amazon places on products. Once accepted into the program you will have to upload three videos and wait until they review them. Your goal here is to unlock on-site commissions. You will find out that your on-site commissions are unlocked when you get a congratulatory message in your Amazon account. Once unlocked you can upload videos to get placed on products. When someone who is already looking to buy a product watches your video and purchases the item or another item in the same category, you earn a commission for the sale. Commissions are relatively low, but the more videos you create the more your income increases. You need to create valuable videos because people need to watch them long enough (usually 30 seconds for videos longer than that) for them to qualify for a commission payout.
In my first 3 months I made over twenty-five hundred in commissions! Not bad for a normal everyday kinda girl right?
The best thing about this side hustle is that you don’t have to do anything else besides create product review videos and upload them to Amazon. They bring in the customers and you provide valuable videos for them to buy products. Amazon already has customers, you are just putting your knowledge in front of them. I started earning money from the first day. I had commissions showing up before I knew I was unlocked for on-site commissions. Every month my revenue has grown significantly. That is because you can create product videos for anything you already own without purchasing anything. I recommend reviewing everything in your house, friend’s house, parent’s house, work, you name it! You can review any product you can find on Amazon even if you didn’t buy it there and even if you don’t own it. If you have access to it and can get a good video of it. You do not have to be in the video either. This is about the product.
After Shelby was accepted, I immediately bought Jules’s course. I was about to buy a much more expensive course, but it felt spammy. I’m so glad I waited and found her course. It was a third of the price and it was filled with exactly what I needed to succeed. I followed Shelby’s lead and started a new TikTok as an experiment to see if 12 videos were a key factor. I had nothing to lose. The TikTok account I already had only had just over 100 followers. I posted at least once per day and asked for the engagement needed to pass the Amazon metric. I got in within 7 days after my 12th video and with only 37 followers. Crazy Right? I was so over the moon. I then created my three videos very quickly and uploaded them. Jules offers to audit your videos for a small fee to help make sure you get your on-site commissions unlocked. I asked her if I should have her do that before I submit my first three videos. If she had said yes, I would have paid her to do it without hesitation, but she responded that most people try at least the first try on their own and if they get rejected she does it for their next try or last try. See, you only get three tries to get unlocked or you’re done. I was lucky enough to get accepted with my first three videos and I am building up my video library in my Amazon Storefront which can earn me passive income.
Without Jules and her course, I don’t think I would have even tried to get accepted. I almost quit on my third day after starting my new TikTok. I was getting imposter syndrome and thought to myself “What the heck am I doing?” I thought of all the billions of people in this country, why would Amazon let me in this program? The truth is only a fraction of the country’s population do this kind of work. With the huge scale of products on Amazon. It will take a long time to saturate the market if that’s even possible with the production of new products and trends all the time.
Jules’s course was so easy to follow and it is 3 hours of content. I got through it in one night. She does keep adding to it and you get access to any updates. She didn’t have other people selling her course because she didn’t want to raise the price of her course. She, also, didn’t want to have people selling her course just to get a commission without having taken the course and been unlocked for on-site commissions. We as thankful patrons of hers who appreciated her honesty and lack of gatekeeping proudly promoted her course anyway, just as a thank you for being so genuine and honest. She finally gave in and as a way to say thank you to the people promoting her course for free, she added an affiliate option with a few rules to keep it an honorable process. She required the people promoting her course for a commission to have taken her course and to have on-site commissions unlocked. I was happy to be one of these people and I proudly promote her course. She deserves every penny she earns from sharing this information with the world. She could have just kept this to herself, but she says there’s room for everyone and she’s happy to share.
