Content Creation Can Really Suck- Your Phone Storage | How I Manage My Phone Storage

Content Creation can Really Suck Your Phone Storage! I found a great way to manage all my phone storage needs without losing any data. I can delete this from my phone with the option to add it back later if needed.

I have been creating content now for about a year and a half and I have to say that my phone storage took a real beating! I tried everything from uploading to platforms like Onedrive, Google Drive, and iCloud and transferring to my PC, but it was just too slow of a process to transfer so much data. These platforms are not free either, so I struggled to justify the expense if I never use this data in the future. It was difficult to tell if this content might be usable later, so I wanted to keep it just in case I found a way to repurpose it.
The first thing I found that worked really well was the Photokeeper that was pretty fast and made it easy to transfer data back and forth. The only downfall is the expense involved in expanding the storage. It was a little pricey to begin with. When I underestimated my storage needs, I had to purchase another Photokeeper or move the photos and videos to my pc and delete the data on the Photokeeper drive. This was not something I wanted to do.

I ended up upgrading my phone to a 1TB storage which helped a lot, but my phone is filling up fast and while I don’t expect it to be full for some time. I want to stay organized.

I was about to purchase an SSD external drive to house all my data and offload these from my phone when Koomobo contacted me. A company that was releasing a product called Photocube PD+ that was the best of both worlds to me. I was able to plug and play while being able to save my data to a MicroSD card and I could keep adding more SD cards as needed. No more needing to purchase the whole system again just to upgrade storage.

The Photocube PD + works with both Apple and Android devices and it has an app to help organize the data and an auto backup feature to allow you to plug it in at night so it will charge while it backs up your phone. You can, also, charge and backup your phone while you are using it and you can plug it straight into you phone for on the go back ups.

This has a lot of options for saving with built in options for Google Drive, One drive and so on. Even record straight to your MicroSD card through the app.

It’s advised to purchase double the storage that your phone has to be sure there’s enough room on the card for a full back up.

The PhotocubePD+ is a card reader and you can plug it into your PC as well to transfer files.

If you delete them from your phone and want them back, just plug in the Photocube PD+ device with the MicroSD card and restore them to your phone. I could see using this to transfer to a new phone.

I like that I only needed a microSD card and I had the freedom to upload the videos I wanted or to do a full backup.

The device can read the data and will avoid duplicating it when plugged in which is nice since it can be difficult to avoid duplication when you are doing this manually.

This Photocube is user friendly and compact to allow for traveling and backing up on the go.
